It is named after the year Guccio Gucci founded the company in Florence and it includes 4 styles for women and 2 styles for men in the Gucci Coupe collection, a Frida Giannnini design. The 1921 Collection fuses contemporary with classic design, the square case shape references the style of the 1920's in a modern interpretation. Each timepiece is unique in a leather case in white, camel, dark brown or black. The bracelet and the buckle use the iconic Gucci horsebit design.

The men's watches are made with Dubois-Depraz automatic movement and include a rounded square steel case in a sun-brushed design with a unusual dial. The dial displays the hours and minutes with a small second hand at the 9 o'clock position and a round date counter at 3 o'clock. It has the Guccio Gucci logo at the top of the dial and the year "1921" and comes in either black or brown and the leather straps have diamante patterned embossing around the dial in black or cream.

The timepieces are hand assembled and show the workmanship of Gucci artisans, the leather is top grain and hand tooled by experts in their field and the watch components are individually assembled. The strap and the leather casing are partially hand-stitched.

The dial is simple but elegant and includes small indices, slim hour and minute hands, the Gucci name and is protected by a sapphire crystal. The crown includes the "G" initial and the Guccio Gucci signature on the back of the case.
